Default Small Excels

Has anyone seen or played with Excels 1440 or 1554?

We had some for the duck clubs last fall and for grins, I put a 35 Sport on a 15' and I was amazed. It ran flat, turned well and was quick. We normally put the 23 and 27 mini on them. They are not rated for the 35.

So the small boat did well. How do you think they'd handle on lakes(smaller than the great salt lake)? Would they work well for two people to use for hunting out of? Also do you have any pictures or video clips of those boats?

Glenn, between the 23 and the 27 which one would you personally recommed? I was also wondering how well the mini's would be suited for an entry level operator?

Mini 23 or 27 run great. The Mini is for all skill levels including entry. It is the only short tail built for small boats. But don't let mini fool you. It will run the larger boats as well.

Glenn if you were to get the 1554 would you match it with the mini 23 or 27. Seems to me that going with the 27 would be better, bigger motor would help more in mud. Please correct me if I'm wrong with the above. Any additional advice would be great. Thank you already.
