Default Shaggy on my Shaggyish Frame

Built my own frame mounted to the transom and front of the deck of my Excel. I will admit this is a knock off of the Shaggy frame but I added T joints and a section of rigid conduit bent to follow the bow curve of the bow when its folded down. I put some Shaggy panels on it and it covers just about the whole boat. The Shaggy is awesome!

I have a tip- My panels are a little longer than the frame/boat and I wanted it to wrap around the bow and part of the transom. When I put the conduit in the pockets at the bottom of the panel, I cut the conduit where the blind wraps around the bow and transom and kept the cut sections. I ran a 3/8 inch rope through all the conduit pieces to they weigh down all the sections and knotted it at both ends and tie wrapped the rope to the mesh. It allows me to weigh down the sections longer than the frame but fold them back when I roll it up. It keeps the mesh roll the size of the frame and the shaggy out of the wind when trailering.

I have a Ranger 120. It is now the backup to my SBE. I always carry it. You can always depend on it.

I just got my Shaggy panels and it seems to me that I'll be cutting the panel in four 4 1/2 foot sections so the material will hang over the sides of the boat near the water.

My boat looks pretty sweet with it now, gotta go give it a test run:appledance:

Why do you need to cut it?

When I put the panel on long ways, the panel wasn't long enough to completely cover the blindframe and part of the boat. No biggie, just gotta adapt. It'll work great.:appledance:

Question Re: Shaggy on my Shaggyish Frame

I thought it was built to cover up to a 96 in beam . Seems you should have enough to cover a conventional blind at 29 in Tall with an 18 -22 opening
:damm:

My boat must have a larger blind(Cabelas brand). I cut the Shaggy into 4 panels and it looks great. What's nice is I wanted to set up the blind so I could take it off the frame after the hunt for easier storage and drying. Cutting it into fours makes it easier..............

The 12x1 piece is going to be cut into smaller pieces to cover the top of the blind, should do the trick:appledance:
