I know at one point he had a total of 6 people in that boat(16/44 GT) and it was running around on plane. I don't think they had a gps, but it was moving at a good speed for that load.

Is there a way to verify what motor was on the little skiff? I'm just wondering if I went with a regular 23 Mini would it run like that, or was that the performance of a bandi motor? Also, what are the specs on that skiff in the video (1636, 1638 maybe, or even an 1836)? If you guys got a good GPS speed on that rig with one guy it would be helpful as well.

It was the bandi, but I don't know what the size of the skiff was. I think it was a 14 38 but trashduck or sandman could answer for sure.

What hull is that Glenn is running with the 6000 on it? It looks like a supersport hull but it's hard to tell. It almost looks like tapered chines.

How fast did the 3 man hide go with the 6000?

The three man hide was sandman's shoot him a PM and he can tell you about his speeds. The boat glenn was driving was a tapered chime, and turning was a little scary, but not bad. You could feel it start to slip, but Glenn kept it under control. It definetly would haul that is for sure!

| The same as if it would have had a 23! ![]() In the video you can see that every time he was about to take a turn the rooster tail completly down and just before the boat comes off plane then he turns (or should I say CAN turn) it.

All right, here we go!!!! The 16' duck skiff (no hunt deck cause you would have to reach way back to get to the quick trim lever) had a 23 bandi and would run around 27.5 with just me in it. The other 1644's had a stock 23 on them and will run 25 with one person and 22.5 to 23 with two. The 6000 was an a 1648 Gatortrax double taper chine and clocked it with 2 people and a large cooler full of beverages at 34-35 all day long. Never ran it by myself with a GPS so I don't know what it will really do!:Banane34:I had a great time this weekend and hope everyone else did also. If you have any questions let me know. TD BTW: I'm with Boat doc, glad to see a full size video!!!!

Nice to see the updated info on all of the rigs. Any idea how fast the 16' skiff will run with a 23 mini/not the bandi? Also, does it make any difference (performance wise) having the pointed bow vs. the Rouge type square bow?

No it is not new. You can either get a single taper (1 bend), double (2 bends), or triple (I'll give ya 1 guess as to how many bends that one has). All of the Gator Trax tapered chine boats come with a douple taper, unless you specify otherwise.
