Sometimes there may be something spilled on the hull right after it gets washed, it evaporates and you can't see it but the film is there and causes just what you have. There are a ton of factors like humidity in LA, spillage, not mixing primer correctly, all human error that we are not above. If you will give me a call, I will instruct you how to take care of it and send you the materials to do so on my nickle. Sorry you had the issue and thanks for pointing it out to us. I will take the pics, show my guys that paint and stress to them the importance of surface prep thru your example.

Refreshing, isn't it, to have the motor builder and the boat builder(s) treating us like we matter?

Thanks for the reply, Kent. For the record, I love the boat and everything about it. And no, I definitely did not spill anything on the paint job. Like I said, it had a few very small spots showing through the day it came down my driveway, and it has worsened since. Thanks again and I will definitely give you a call within the next few days. I don't want any freebies, I just want my paint to stay on.

To be honest I don't see how they get as much paint to stick as they do in that Louisiana humidity! If you want the paint to stay on keep it in the driveway. The areas where I put the most use (gunwhales where I bounce off piers) the paint is still sticking strong. They do make it pretty in camo!

I figure if it won't rust why worry? Besides, I run in salt water and it gives me a few small spots to look at and make sure the zincs are working...

I was impressed when I saw the paint job knowing the weather conditions they work in. It shows that they put a lot of effort into getting it right. Kman's willingness to keep a customer happy is the icing on the cake! Just like MB's level of service!

Doesn't help this situation, but would the super liner have prevented this? Just curious as I am about a week or two away from purchasing an Excel and still on the fence about spending an extra $700 on the liner and camo job.

Is there anything special about the cans of paint you can get from GT, or is it just regular spray paint? Just think I might need to fix a few spots might be nice to have matching paint.
