Exclamation Not impressed

Last year I bought the mudbuddy fastgrass blind and used it last season. Iam on day 2 of my second season with this blind and it is falling apart everywhere! I have taken very good care of this blind. It was kept from the elements during the winter and spring and I have always put it in the upright position whenever it rained.

This is unacceptable. Is mudbuddy going to stand behind their product and help me out here or am I going to get a bunch of red tape? I will let you guys know how this turns out. These blinds are far from cheap and should be built to last more than one season.

I have had fone for two seasons and have not all way stored it like I should usually it is down and out in the weather, and I will be able to use it again this season. I have trailered it a bunch to on the interstate.

Which way did you put your grass on? That makes a difference in how long it will last also.

Can you provide us more detail? Most of us have run these blinds for years with no problems.

If you dont take care of the grass it will not last. The rest of the blind will last for quite a few seasons, but the grass must be replaced every 3-5 years unless you dont take care of it (then you will have to do it annually).

I have had customers that had grass on there for over 4 years. If you leave it in the sun and rain and not under cover or out of the elements it will only last you about 1 to 2 years.

I used the grass for one season and it was out all the time. I replaced it with the shaggy so I wouldnt have to do it every couple of years.
I didn't replace it becasue it went bad, I just thought the shaggy was a much better match to my surroundings.

A thought for those using the grass. I used a water sealer with mildew resistance on mine before I installed it. It made the water bead right off of it.

You should store your blind in the upright position all the time NOT when it just rains. During the off season, I take my blind off and it hangs on bicycle racks in the garage.

My fast grass has lasted 3 seasons so far, but I keep my boat in a garage.

If you store it in direct sunlight or out in the weather year around it will make the grass very brittle.

Fast Grass Brand is the best woven blind material out there, but it will only last 2-5 years depending on use and how you store it.

Finally, Mudbuddy doesn't make the FAST GRASS so it's hard to bash them for this. They make the frame and I have owned many blinds and this frame is by far the easiest to use and the best one I have owned.

Jack,
I believe it was Thompsoms. It wasn't the really thin/watery stuff, it was thicker. I was still able to use a lawn tank sprayer though.

Please post up some pics....

these blinds are great.... and are designed to withstand extreme conditions... yes ,the grass needs to be maintained and dried out ocassionally.... but the frame, materials and kit provide you what you need for the blind to last.
