Well I thought I would give all of you who are wondering my thought my new SLT.

Now the frame rec'd is not what most of you will get, as I rec'd a demo frame and on mine the belt runs horizontal while the final frames run vertical.

After moving the motor over from my old frame and after I got it all wired up, I worked on the belt to get it aligned.
I finally took it out last weekend and away I went.

I'll start with the the only down side I could find and that was the weight. The darn thing is heavy, much more so then the standard LTs.

However, the frame is beefed up and much stronger, significantly stronger. With the belt, it creates a lot more thrust and torque, but you don't notice it. I run a 17/60 lowe roughneck and it popped the boat on plane at a 1/4 throttle. With 2 guys and a dog I hit the low 20HPH @ 3800 rpm. It was fast. As with all LT you have to slow significantly to make a turn or risk getting pulled overboard.

I ran the motor on the Il river, which is deep and never had it in the mud or shallow water. I can only imagin how the shallows with improve the performance.

My recommendation is you get one.
