Well, i just changed out my rockguard we bought at the begining of last season. Two years ago, we were burring up one prop every 3 or 4 hunts...put over a grand in those suckers. Before early teal '07, we bought a big blade and a rock guard. Speeds with the new blade were 25ish...went out yesterday on that same prop ... same load doing 24.5...we hunted over 45 days this past year (including early teal)...oh there are still a TON of teal, mottles, pinners, and widgeon on our lake...lazy birds... here are some pics of the old guard and our new one. we run in uber shallows on Lake Okeechobee with a hard sand bottom. Think it grinds down metal in our lake?? For $35, its the best investment we ever made... our old guard...(and prop put on in Sept 07)...comparing the new and old...and finally the new one on...if you are having prop problems, BUY the 35 dollar rock guard!!! now!!!!!
