Default From the Midwest to the Bama Roundup...

Is anyone from the Midwest IA, MN, WI etc. going to the Bama Roundup...

I will pay for gas one way if you can pick up a 15' boat by 48" wide for me on the way home in AL. Ill pick it from your location upon return.

Boat only no trailer... may fit in a long box pickup or inside your boat.

Contact me if interested.

You probably need it before November.....but I'll be headed your way in early November and if my travel plans, which are not set in stone yet, are feasible I probably could bring it on a trailer to NW Iowa (Sioux City??) or SE N.Dakota (Sioux Falls ??) if the boat p/u location isn't too far out of the way.

Just looked up your location.....for one way gas and a morning duck hunt I'll bring it to your front door!

If you are serious about this, and November is not too late to get the boat, let me know and I'll start thinking over the logistics......shouldn't be a problem. Where is the boat located? I've got a trip planned to SD that could be anywhere from 6-10 days including travel. If we don't drive then we fly, and although quicker it is a real hassle. The comp for gas would definately make the difference. It's July.....but hopefully Aug. through Oct. will go by real fast!

By the way, folks in MN are some really nice people. Two years ago in Nov. '06 I was driving west out of Minneapolis on Hwy. 212. I got stopped by the law in some small town for going about 45 in a 30. He let me go without a ticket or even a formal warning because he said "he like the way I talked!" I guess that he had not ever heard any good ole' boys from GAWJA speak southern!! .

Regards,
Rai

I am very serious... we can do this,

The address is in Tuscaloosa, AL. to Hastings, MN.

About how much you think it will run you, I have a shipper that wants to pick it up now but I am in no hurry and meeting you and a hunt would be much more fun anyway, so if we are in the same ballpark ill go with you anyway.

Mapquest says it's 1014 miles from adress to address. So figure your miles per gallon, per 1014 + or - and figure about $5.00 a gallon by then...lol.

Or to Souix City or Souix Falls is a bit less milage... let me know what you come up with Ill meet you there or you can come here for a hunt as well, either way figure out what you want to do and the approx. cost and let me know.
