We just wraped up our duck season here in NW Oregon and it was a good one. Lots of birds in the bay and the birds just could not resist the set up. I wish I could post pics but the camera took a dive on Saturday and never came up so I had to resort to the good old 35mm. In two days for three hunter we shot 42 birds which consisted of teal, pintails, wigeon and mallards. Its a lot of fun when the big flights of wigeon show up because they will raft up in the bay and birds are constantly getting up and working the bay which makes for good shooting. To make it even better my ten year old son shot all drakes on Saturday but on Sunday he dropped a hen wigeon on a double with one shot. He was holding his own and I only let him have one shell in his gun at a time so he has to make it count. I have to give a big thanks to Glenn and the crew because they have been a big reason for my success in my duck hunting and guiding. 2007-2008 was one of my best years and finaly have my son be able to shoot with me was the best part.
