i am really looking at this gun as a huge investment and was wondering what anyone thought about it. it looks really sweet and with the inertia system it sounds like a champion of a gun but all the dealers say that we wont get them out west for about 6 months. the price is a little nicer than the sbe 2 but was wondering how the gun performed over all. let us know for sure.

I shot the gun at 40 yards , with a pure gold ic choke, pattern great, recoil like a 20 gauge. Light weight and comes apart in seconds. Better than sb2 , was shooting kent fast steel #2 3'' . Best gun benelli has made so far

the vinci only takes a 3 inch doesn't it? 3 1/2 would be out of the question. i don't hardly ever use the 3 1/2 but was just curious. they say the gun is really easy to come apart for transport would putting a ton of shells through it make it wobble apart any? just curious.

Benelli builds pretty guns, but very costly. After 52 seasons of duck hunting I have shot them all, and found, pretty and exspensive is not what I need. I am still shooting my Russian built Baikal its been under water so many times the wooden stock finaly come apart. Luckly they sell plastic replacement stocks and forearms. Feeling guilty about the abuse I tore it completely down and gave it a good cleaning. You wouldn't believe the crap that was wadded up in the reciever and magizine tube at least a half a cup full, gun was still working, even with all that rust colored junk in it. And to think I only gave $250.00 for it at a pawn shop. Will a new Benelli do that?

[QUOTE=DENNYEDWARDS;92377] I am still shooting my Russian built Baikal [QUOTE] Amen brother. I quit even trying to explain to people what mine is. If they ask, I just say it's an old cheap $200 gun and is not worthy of discussion in the presence of the "B" guns. Then I let them form their own opinions after we're done hunting.270 Last edited by 270Handiman; 09-25-2009 at 10:49 AM. Reason: screwed up the quote marks! |

I do not like the safety on the Vinci as I cannot reach it with my small hands unless I let go of the grip on the stock and reach forward. Not for me.

Well, I bought my wife one a month ago. I shoot a beretta xtrema2 and I like gas guns. However, I am very impressed with the Vinci. It is a joy to shoot and makes my other autos (Beretta, Browning) feel like 2x4's. It shoulders great for me. However, it does not like 1 oz dove loads.

i own and shoot the SBE, A5, beretta field grade auto, remington 1100(before screw in chokes) and the new vinci. the vinci is a smooth light recoiling gun. it does what the marketing says it will do. All in all i like it a lot. it takes 2-3/4 and 3" but not 3.5 as written. my SBE takes the 3.5 but in 6 years of owning it I never used one... anyway one gun writer suggested the safety belongs at the front of the trigger guard and that it was a new and developing trend. I missed a couple green heads last weekend cause I was pushing where the safety used to be but that will go away as I get uesd to the new position. |

Got 2 shotguns, a Bakail when I want to shoot an auto-loader, and my 870 Wingmaster when I want to shoot a pump. Total investment for both, less than 500.00. My problem with the Vinci besides the price, is I have had the need for a 3.5" when goose hunting it only has 2 3/4 or 3" chamber. Just 'cause they cost more don't make you shoot better.

ya i dont like the vinci. it looks dumb for 1. i got a remington 1100 and a benelli m2 both good guns in my opinion, as for the 870 i would like to have one. they are excellent guns and last forever and are reliable. as for the 887 the new (870) they also look dumb. i want a shot gun for hunting not a nova or supernova tactical gun. and the vinci looks like it was made for swat. and i dont mind a traditional shot gun as for the way it comes apart. i dont like the new vincis way of coming apart. and what you were saying about the baikail why would you not clean your gun i dont care if you got it for free or spent 10 k on it if its worth having its worth taking care of. it doesnt make sense to not take care of your stuff. it takes 20 minutes max to do a good cleaning and oiling of your gun. i personally wanna have good equipment and so i am gonna take good care of it
