Do you guys find it difficult to start the boat again if you shutdown in thick water hyacinth. I have shut down in a thick mat in my airboat and it is difficult to get started again because you start pushing the whole mat and the boat has trouble jumping back on top of it.

I know my airboat drafts about 3 times what my hide does but I was just curious if the shallower draft and mudmotor combination works a little better.

Great video! I particularly enjoyed watching your dog playing with the Lilly Pad shrapnel. It reminded me of that Easy Button Commercial with the Ink Cartridges falling everywhere.

Had the same thing happen to me . Had to let the Big Blade cut and chop for a while but it finally came out. Maybe We should run in sand for a little while and sharpen it up....

I've occasionally found myself in this situation whilst on my airboat, too. Since a direct drive aircraft engine in a pusher configuration applies torque to the right side of the boat, (actually, the right front corner, given the 46" height of the crankshaft) I would get the boat spinning on the nose in a clockwise direction and then drive off the matted weeds. I've also been in the same predicament with the mudboat but I haven't found a reliable technique for getting out of it yet.
