Picked up my 1750 Huntdeck yesterday from the factory in Springfield. Let me say, Kent, David, Ladonna and the whole crew there were awesome and a great bunch. I had a great time learning about the boats and the area they live in. My boat was more than I expected and built tough! I'll post some pics if someone can give me some directions as I've had some problems getting them loaded. Thanks again to Kent and the crew for building be a great boat, I'll post a review when I get some stick time. Matthew |

Enjoy! I am curious to see your review since I am running the same boat too. BTW, What do you have on the back of it? A 35, 42, or the beast? | |

I have to figure out what kind of Battery to get for it and I'll try running it over the weekend. It was a good welcome home present though I had to pay for it myself. I got the 35 for now and will upgrade when I get back to FL. I'm up in Mississippi for the next few weeks while I do the paper work shuffle to get home. If anybody is near me in MS ( Hattiesburg) and wants to show me some spots to run that would be awesome! Coot, might be a little slower than yours since I have a rear polling platform and casting deck on front, but will take them off and get both figures when I can! Matt |

Matt, You could always come down to Slidell (I think it is about 1 to 1.5 hours from Hattiesburg) to run your rig in the La. Marshes. If you decide to, let me know. I need to go load test my rig b/c I have not ran it with more than 2 people yet. I need to go run it with 3, 4 and maybe even 5 people. I bought my rig to carry loads and need to see what she can do. Congratulations, Matt. Glad to see you made it back from the sandbox safe and sound. I remember you asking questions on Hunters Central as you went through the decision and selection process on the boat. I think you made a great choice. I run a 1650 hunt deck with 42 Hyper Sport and of all the GT boats I have rigged, run, owned or sold I think this is my personal favorite. Enjoy. |

Coot, Would love to do that. I have to get my buddy back home to register my boat and I need to get a few safety items so I can run it. I'll PM you my number this evening! Matt. Does anyone know how to post pictures in the thread??? |

- go advanced -click the paper clip by the smiley face that opens manage attachments -browse pick your picture, depending on where you keep em, usually "my pictures" (ensuring that the pics meet specs :are the right size/pixels/file size/etc) -upload......wait depending on your connection speed -close window -preview post to make sure it works or just post it, and delete it if it doesn't |

Ran the boat this morning with Coot and BoatDr down in LA. Thanks to both you guys for showing me how to run that thing. We ran all three boats and took me a little bit of stick time but got the hang of it pretty quick. My 17150 Huntdeck with a polling platform and gun boxes ran 26 today with a new motor. We ran 3 of us in Coot's boat which is the same as mine and ran 26+ in deep water. So I'd say we did pretty well. Learned a lot and can't wait to get out again! Matt |

Archermatt, Your are welcome and it was nice meeting you. I think you will get some more speed by moving some weight towards the back of the boat. We proved that yesterday when all 3 of us were in my boat. For some reason, the hunt deck 50" bottom boats run better with more weight in the back. That was the first time I have ran three people in my boat and was very impressed with the fact that I lost very little speed. I think your very top end speed in that rig will be 27-28mph. Once you distribute the weight properly, you might hit those speeds. Let's do it again sometime, but we will have to bring the poles to catch some red fish too. Coot |

archermatt, here are a couple pics of you and coot running around. I snapped about a dozen and realized that I am a much better boat driver than photographer. By the way did any of the video you shot come out ok?![]() ![]() |

Coot & BoatDr, shoot me your email and I'll get you the video when I get home to some high speed internet. Thinking of coming down again next week to do some redfishing too, around the PR WMA. If you know some good spots, let me know!
