    Does Excel still make the Fowler Series boats?

    Not sure they ever did. They made 'Midwest' editions for a specific dealer but I think that dealer went with someone else to make the 'fowlers'.
    Excel 1851 F4 w/ (35HS w/ a lil' bit of this and a lil' bit of that)

    Excel never made the Fowler. BLUE Rock did and are the same peeps that build the Beavertwil boats. To the best of my knowledge they haven't build Fowler's for quite a while

    Yeah I looked at those Beavertail boats too... A bit heavy for my liking, yet doesn't have much for capacity. Kind of disappointing amount

    Sometimes manufacturers are conservative on capacity. There is a Coast Guard formula for this and the manufacturer can reduce the amount. That is probably what happened.
