    Default Dragonfly Update

    Quick Dragonfly update.

We are testing a Suzuki 1300cc on the mini ariboat.

A new Excel airboat hull arrived in Florida last week and we will be testing the Suzuki on its hull.

Here are a couple photos of the Suzuki on the 12 foot fiberglass Florida style hull. Runs three passengers with lots of power. Quiet and sips fuel. A lot more testing to do before we release them this summer, but this will be the mini to watch.

Runs 48 with one guy, 42 with three. Turns on a dime and gets on step in deep water with three guys at mid throttle in 30 feet. We have a high two and three seat model and a low two and three seat setup for colder climates. Working on a console with windshield also.

Prop is cavitatiing with one guy so we are going to a four blade Sensenich saber which should give us a better bite and even more power.

None of this information is posted on the Dragonfly website until we decide on what direction we will go with the Excel hull. So far, we are pleased.

Glenn this is awsome... I have no need for a airboat up here in Idaho... But I have always wanted one... these mini's would really be a better fit for me vs those big 20ft airboats and I wouldn't have to take out a loan for one too... I will be watching this with great intrest...... I see one in my future for a tournament bowfishing boat...

New to the forum. It's been a while since I've found any updates on the boat. Did you guys move forward with the 14' hull? I'm very interested in one with the 1300 Suzuki.
