I guess I'll be making a trip back to Caddo to pick up the Supersport. I've been looking for a reason to make the trip. That being said, anyone considering a Supersport with a 45 or one similar I'm there to help.

    Rick,
Nails or Birch? Either way the one thing we won't be short of is water. Nails would mean less boat ramp/park traffic, but I guess that could be a good thing if you're looking for new customers.

Glad to have ya come out Jared. Gonna have it at Nails Creek. Like you said, plenty of parking and very little "other" traffic. Should set up nice with the shaded area off the point.

Unless something comes up I will be there. I'm planning on heading to Caddo next weekend to pick up our boat. It just may be the last trip I'm able to make to the lake house. By the time I get up there, there will be a "For Sale" sign in the front yard.

demos are free. Come on out. Do a mapquest search from your house to Lake Somerville. should draw you a good map. Nails Creek is on the southwest side of the lake.

The best way for you to get to Somerville from Whitehouse is going to be Hwy 79 from Palestine south to Milano. Turn left on Hwy 36 to Somerville/Brenham. Once to Somerville you will be on the East/Northeast side of the lake and can take the county roads around to the Southwest side of the lake. Not to bad of a drive, about 3 1/2 hours.

    Rick,
Is this event still in the plans?

Well, seems mother nature didn't throw me a bone. The lake is 4 foot over pool and even though they are letting water go, it just keeps on raining.

No mud/veggies to speak of just some flooded backwaters over hard clay. Sooo, won't be any black roostertails, but I still plan on going out there and at the least letting folks get some stick time running a MB/G Trax rig. Come on out Demetrious if you can. Jared wil be there with his rig as well.

I'll be at the Nails Creek ramp at 9:00 am if anyone is still interested.

I'll be there with bells on.

Rick, how was Lake X yesterday? I got back to town at about 8 am yesterday and tried to call you but you may have already been on the water. I thought about hooking up to the boat and just heading down there, but I got lazy and decided to wait for you to call. Needless to say, I fell asleep on the couch.

    Jared,

You wouldn't believe me if I told you how flooded things are. Too much water in the sticks, but there are alot of grazer fields that are flooded up right now. If the season were goin on right now that lake would be holding tens of thousands of birds. Unbelievable amount of food that is standing in 6-12" of water. Some of the water has come up into a couple of milo fields as well. Oh how I wished it were Nov 3rd already!!!!

Saw a couple flights of blue wingers that got the blood goin as well.

Sad reality of it all though is as the water recedes all that food will be layed down ,brown, soured mush. Hate to say it but too much water way too soon!!

    Hey Rick,
Almost a full week without rain. Looks like the water may be dropping. About 3" in the last 6 days. All this water needs to either get the hell out of here or go ahead and come up a few more feet and get "right" in the timber. Definitely not creep down over the next few weeks.:WTF:

I'm hoping it drops all the way to pool level over the next couple of months. Then rise accordingly during the split:017: You can forget any groceries out there. total 180 from last season.

One last bump for the road. Again, tomorrow morning (Aug 4) 9:00 am at the NAils Creek ramp at Lake Somerville for those interested in getting some stick time in a MB/GTrax rig. Yes, the HD6000PF will be there, as well as G Trax's new hull design--the IntimiGator. Come on out for a spell and check things out.
