    Default Celebrating 15 Years

Tomorrow is a special anniversary and the beginning of a big year for us.

Fifteen years ago I built my first Mud Buddy. This home made mud motor used a belt driven 399CC twin cylinder Hirth snowmobile motor. It was crude and heavy. I ran it on a 14' Lowe Line boat at first ice off in early March that year.

Our second motor in early May was built with a standard style longtail frame and an opposed twin cylinder Onan. I believe it was 20 horse. The third in July was a twin Kohler.

The rest is history including a few 3 cylinder Isuzu diesels, Geo car engine, a four cylinder Subaru which is still running in Florida, and every engine we could bolt to the back of a boat.

Today we proudly have over 85 models of short and long tails, complimented by performance components, blinds in many forms, Mud Buddy edition boats and a long list of accessories and toys for boys.

My best memories include the good times we all shared at the Mud Buddy roundups, hunts with prostaff and dealers and the daily relationship we have with our customers.

It is fun, the road was long and we are just getting started.

I proudly call you all friends and say thank you from all of us at Mud Buddy.

    Glenn

Sharleen and I talked about those good old days tonight. I looked for an old photo to celebrate this proud moment, and found this one of my younger years with Jake. Jake started the company with me. I remember telling him to turn his head when we were welding. He is no longer with us, and was sad to find the photo, but a happy moment as well. You know what I mean.

    Glenn,
I have known you almost 12 of those 15 yrs. the thing that has changed the most since then is that you don't answer the phone as much as you did back then. I remember when I was looking for my first mud motor and I came across your add in the paper. Back then you were working out of your garage. I came to see what your motors were all about and you took me over to a travel trailer that was on the side of your house,.. I have to tell you I was thinking what the heck do we have to go in the trailer for !!But come to find out you had some of the motors stored in there.
I was impressed with the motors back then, and it has been amazing to see the chages that have been made over the years. From my first 12 hp Tecumseh long tail to the seventh motor my 6000 I have been completely satisfied with your products. My hats off to you and your team that have made me feel as if I was the most important customer you have. I have always been treated with nothing but respect from all I have dealt with over the years. You never seem to amaze me with your never ending passion and desire to improve and develop new products to help us crazy duck hunters do what we love.
    Congrats on 15 years!!!

What can I say, Glenn? Other than, you sir are the epitome of hard work. From way back when when I was just a customer to this day as one of your dealers and pro-staff, nothing but respect and appreciation has come from you and your company. I'm proud to be part of something so special that you worked hard to build. I consider you not just the CEO of a company I rep for, but more so a good friend and I'm proud for you for all of your accomplishments and hard work in growing this wonderful company call Mud Buddy. Take a bow Glenn, you've earned it!

Yea you are right webft2, the other motors look preistoric(sp) compared to a MB. Glenn just keep the great people around you that you have and it will only get better. They are all so friendly and helpfull when ever you call or drop in. Have always been treated well from Clint, Micah, Justin in parts, and your Justin. They make you feel like one of the guys not a pain in the @!!. Hope you tell them often how great they are. I'm sure you must or they would be gone.

    Dad-
I am so proud of you!! All these years of hard work and dedication have paid off!! I can't tell you how wonderful the last six years have been since I've worked here at Mud Buddy. Not many people can say that they see their mom and dad everyday at work!! I still remember the early days when you first started building motors in the garage. I'd be on my way out the door with my friends and you would ask me to hold the frame while you put the drive in. I never imagined I would be working here with you and mom. Thank you for everything!!

As guys, sometimes we don't say what's on our minds, (unless we are angry), But I want you to know that you have been an inspiration, mentor, father figure, GREAT friend, and much more to me over the last 10 years. (thats right, it's been that long ) I have learned an unmeasureable amount of things I needed to know from you. (and some things I didn't need to know!!) I am proud to be a part of this family and my loyalties to your company and friendship will never die.

Thanks for all you have been and are to me. Congrats on 15 years brother, here's to 15 more.

I stil remember when you PM ed me on the Duck Hunters site and told me to wait for the MB 35 balanced. That was one of the best moves I have ever made. Teaming up with you and Andy have given me the vehicles that have turned many heads in SE LA. You have a great company. Keep them coming
