Tomorrow is a special anniversary and the beginning of a big year for us.
Fifteen years ago I built my first Mud Buddy. This home made mud motor used a belt driven 399CC twin cylinder Hirth snowmobile motor. It was crude and heavy. I ran it on a 14' Lowe Line boat at first ice off in early March that year.
Our second motor in early May was built with a standard style longtail frame and an opposed twin cylinder Onan. I believe it was 20 horse. The third in July was a twin Kohler.
The rest is history including a few 3 cylinder Isuzu diesels, Geo car engine, a four cylinder Subaru which is still running in Florida, and every engine we could bolt to the back of a boat.
Today we proudly have over 85 models of short and long tails, complimented by performance components, blinds in many forms, Mud Buddy edition boats and a long list of accessories and toys for boys.
My best memories include the good times we all shared at the Mud Buddy roundups, hunts with prostaff and dealers and the daily relationship we have with our customers.
It is fun, the road was long and we are just getting started.
I proudly call you all friends and say thank you from all of us at Mud Buddy.

Sharleen and I talked about those good old days tonight. I looked for an old photo to celebrate this proud moment, and found this one of my younger years with Jake. Jake started the company with me. I remember telling him to turn his head when we were welding. He is no longer with us, and was sad to find the photo, but a happy moment as well. You know what I mean.

.... And will still be here all day today as well (dang I need sleep).

But come to find out you had some of the motors stored in there.
