i think we can handle a shrimp boil on sat or fri night at the camp.would be a lot easier than getting ready and going for a drive to a resturaunt.

i am game for it. cant get no simpler than boiling water.

I like Hebert's in Maurice--don't know about their store in Houston but folks in Maurice are great-Since I'm so far away I make my own Boudin (white) and love it for lunch or on patio with a beer and crackers/tabasco sc--I like Savoie's for Roux and last night a guy here showed me a spot to catch some crawfish- don't know if they will be as good as you folks get but going to give it a try. I don't get down to LA much since my buddy's shrimp camp on Oak Bayou near Henry went with Rita.

The best Boudin in SW Louisiana is at Don's. Its on the same exit as The Best Stop but south of I-10. Try sure on the pit. Man you can't bet it. I'm cooking some for supper.

I been making pretty fair BOUDIN for a couple of years from Poek but has anyone ever made it using Dux or geese??
