Great time in Alabama last weekend! Thanks to all who helped put on the event. It was good to meet everyone finally. I took a few pics on Sunday's fun run. There are more in the photo gallery from me, but these are a few of my favorites. I was too busy Sat. to take any so I hope someone else posts up a few. |

Those pics are great Browning. Makes me feel like we were just there yesterday.... hey wait, we WERE! Jennifer and I had a great time. Everything was nice and relaxed but very professional. Everyone there was willing to shake hands, talk, exchange boat rides, laugh, etc. I've got a ton of pictures to download tonight to add to the album started here. We made a decent pull from the GA coast and it was well worth it to hang out with some high quality people that are into these boats and motors. Highlights for me were: - Finally not being the only mud motor at the boat ramp - Giving rides to the curious public - One of my favorites was eavesdropping on the dealer exhaust discussions (there was some brainpower firing away there. Great ideas and Glenn did a good job keeping everyone focused. Neat insight to some great R&D - Thanks Bill for letting me drive your 1644 GT. And for talking my wife into letting me get one, ha ha. After the house of course..... - The river tour complete with caves! The scenery was incredible. - The great weeds, mud, lily pads (man those seed pods hurt!) that I never would have tried to drive through otherwise. - David's great testimonial Sunday morning. Further shows the calibre of people involved. If you didn't make it this year, don't miss it next year. We'll be back for sure. Even the trailer tire blow out in Atlanta traffic on the way home didn't damper the good time! Thanks for a great show Bill. WD

| I definately second that! It offered a great deal of assurance to my decision to buy a boat this year which is pending arrival very soon. I didn't take any pictures, but the young lady from Texas took a ton of them and said that she would send a bunch to us. If I get them, I will post them up. Following WillyD's lead......some highlights that I saw/heard: 1) Best Comment: Question from bystander to a Hide owner: "How do you take a whiz while hunting from the Hide in the laying position?" Answer: "Turn the bilge pump on!" ![]() 2) Most entertaining past time for bystanders: Watching the two guys trying to get the Excel off the log/stump next to the bank for 30 minutes. They get a bonus applause for hard work and sweating it out in the hot sun! ![]() 3) Best sightseeing: The Tennessee River....I've never seen it before and it is an awsome sight...and big! 4) Most fun 10 minutes: The ride in the Hide....Trashduck driving! 5) Best overall: The friendlyness of the event promoters, manufacturers, dealers, and boat owners that shared their time and answered many questions. Many thanks! |
