Coot: I totally agree. I put my boat in some of the smallest little creeks throwing a castnest during shrimping season. I can and have been in creeks with only about 2 1/2 ft of water. Certainly not eh best rig for the job is all. Its sometimes problematic casting and throwing nests over the bow rails and all that.

Im sure I will get by on the boat I have for now but I am hoping to add something smaller in the future for bass fishing/redfishing/duck hunting etc....

I would love a nice 18 foot aluminum boat I can dual purpose for fishing and duck hunting. That would really set things up nicely.
