3840 with an empty 1854 is okay.
However, I have learned that a variety of things can cause performance concerns, and some of them are a combination of two or more issues.
First, was there standing water in the boat for a long time. Even though the floatation in a boat resists soaking up water, it can happen. Meaning your boat could be heavier than you think.
You mentioned your boat was empty, does that mean the storage boxes as well.
Check the bottom for hooks (waves in the bottom caused by impacts or trailer.)
Is your prop within a 1/4" of new size. Is there prop damage from impacts. Is your throttle and gov adjusted properly.
Is a baffle broken in your muffler?
Is your fuel fresh?
When did you change your fuel filter last?
Is the fuel hose crimped or crushed?
I assume you have stick time and the trim is adjusted correctly.
The list goes on. However, you are running okay now.
