Well my bro and i scouted out a few spots the weekend before the opener, and this past weekend made the trip up to NY for the opener. We thought we'd be super early when we put in, we were wrong. Guys were put in already and some even had already set up. We made it to our spot and set up the decoys and slept for the remainder of time until LSL. We ended up being covered, and i mean covered up with Woodies and teal about 10 min before shooting time, but unlike the rest of the guys in the marsh who were shooting 5 or so min before, we waited and still had plenty of shooting. We ended up with 9 GWT and 2 Mallards. We were unable to find 2 of the teal in the high cattails but none-the-less had a great morning in the marsh. Here are some of the pics. Hope you enjoy.
My dog Ace waitin for the morning flight.
