There are a ton of Public Sloughs and Lakes between Aberdeen and Watertown . Webster is 50 mi north of watertown and 50 east of Aberdeen . As for Permits , Well thats another story . You just have to keep looking at the website and put in as soon as the drawing opens . They only issue 3700 Out of State permits ?????????? Haven't figured that out Yet.... I have only not drawn once in 8 Years , so I have preference points this Year .

If You know someone out there it is easy to get permission to hunt corn and bean fields for Ducks .[Laydown Blinds are great for naps] . That is mostly what We do , but then a son of one the guys is the County Tax man and He knows everybody ... For the most part if You ask nicely most people will let you hunt ducks , different story for Ringnecks . Sure is nice to have something to do while You wait for the magic 12:00 start time for "Ditch Chickens"
