Default Re: First Mud Buddy motor

Sailor,

I wouldn't even know where to start about these motors... I got the very first Mud Buddy to come in the state of Texas, about 10-12 years ago. Glen worked with me very hard, due to Texas Banks needing titles, and they had some other kind of Ownership Papers. It took a couple months for us to make al of the people invovled happy. But Glen was on the job and made it happen. I took it to ALL the Texas Hunters get togethers to promote his motor, it has been all over Texas, and a motor way beyond my expectations.

Since then, I have only had the motored tuned up 1 time. And even then it was still working fine. It was when the 25hp Kohlor was the Bran New Animal. But 10-12 years later, I still own it, and still go places other just wish to go. I have never done anything to the motor, except change the fluids you have named above. I change it and give it a fliud change at the beginning of Duck Season. I fire it off, and give it ha good dose of Cab Cleaner to clear the carb. Outside that I have NEVER replaced ANYTHING but Props. And I have gone through a few of them.

It is still operating with no problems, It has been used, and when I am talking about used, I am serious. It have been over more Beaver Dams, than the beavers have. I would not take for my motor. Even with the Surface Drives, as long as my 25hp Longtail is operational, they can just have them. I have test drive many, and like them, but I have to stay with the lady that has brought me to the dance. If yours is half the motor mine has been, just change the fliuds, and keep an eye on the oil. Mine is still not using ANY oil. I'll hunt 50 time per season, and use it every trip, and the oil will still be full at the end of the season.

When this one goes down, I will probably be looking at the motor you have. Glen should put my 25hp in the Mud Buddy Hall Of Fame. If he just knew where his motor has put us, he would be asking for a incentive check.

Just a little Pleasure Mud Buddy has brought me. cooter
