Mud Buddy - The cat is out of the bag, Mud Buddy in cooperation with ARKMOS will release its new line of mud motors this year and yes, they will have reverse. I have been driving three models since last February and have made a dozen or so engineering changes and I am finally happy with the new Sport V. The tooling and initial castings are done and February 1 we will begin releasing information. Not sure when I can have enough for public release since some of the vendors are already behind. Some dealers have seen them and we started a deposit and waiting list last month. It will be a challenge for sure. I remember what happened in 2004 when I had 500 orders shortly after release of the Hyper. Don't call my staff.

BPS - We own the performance engine market due to our engineering efforts and the reliability built into these motors. Every brand of mud motor is running our performance parts and kits. By virtue of this we will begin producing new after market components for every brand this year. This will include new high performance propellers, gear sets, motor wire covers, and other trim packages.

BPS will also be releasing new high horsepower modified low RPM, high torque Honda V-Tech 16 valve engines for the Dragonfly. We are also developing new belt and gear drives for airboats.

We will also release our new twin carb intake manifold for vertical motors used by Pro Drive and mower racers.

Many of you have seen the new BPS 5800 lumen remote LED light sets. They are taking the market by storm. These lights are super bright and cost less than the cost of one 2800 lumen high output LED lights. We have one universal design and another to fit into the tube receiver of Gator Trax boats. The light can be ordered with or without a remote control cable and handle. If you ever had your friends crawl over your decoys to adjust your lights on a dark foggy morning, you will want this remote control.

Excel will be releasing a number of new F86 boats this spring. Here is a quick peek at our console line of boat for hunting and fishing that are especially designed for the Sport V. I numbered the models. Let me know what you think. The new V type F86 will have the heavy duty, high impact tubular bows.

Here is a prototype drawing of the new B86 with tubular front and step deck. A version of the Open Floor Plan F86.

It has lots of leg room, storage and is built around our fastest 1851 and 1860 hulls.

- front fuel tank option
- console option
- winch option
- dry anchor box up front
- batteries under driver seat
- control panel and interior lights on drivers box seat

no this is not a reverse add on.it is a totally new motor.

Can you tease us with some video of the prototypes? Also, I'm sure you know this, but February and March are the months for boat shows and sportsmen shows all over the south. There's a lot of non-beleivers out there. Releasing this info by Feb 1st will help MB retain many sales that might have been lost to other brands that have reverse. I hope that all of the dealers are well informed of this product by Feb. 1st.

I have tried and spent a ton of money on tooling with no luck. The Big Blade rules the marsh.

We sell over 40% of our BPS parts to other brands now and once they get new power they don't have our gear selections and have requested larger performance props. I hear it every day now and that will be our focus with new props.

However, Deadbird re-pitched a Big Blade and it helps cut some of the newly gained RPMS from mods and we are testing that prop. It has potential.

The Sport V will have three gear selections so I am hoping the Big Blade enjoys a long life.

I am hot on it. Waiting for the new blade to get here and try on our test 45 PD. I really dislike that threaded application and I will do something about that also. Doing the same to our threaded longtails. The threaded propeller will all be history soon.

I can't disagree with that Glenn! Getting a PD prop off is a PIA compared to a GTR or Mud Buddy. I had to build a wrench just to change a prop. You have to really want to change props to go through the hassle... I am not sure how you are going to change that though, since the shaft itself is threaded...but like I said, I look forward to seeing what you have. Even if the performance of your prop was the same as the stock PD, this would be a reason to switch...
