2011 Texas Youth Only weekend

Had a great time with Kendall this past weekend. Took her and a buddy and his 2 kiddos out to start the season up. Birds were plentiful and the kids had ample opportunity. At legal shooting time we had at least 300 birds, mostly gadwall and wigeon, tornado'n above us. It was a sight even I appreciated and was excited to see. The kids were in awe. Kendall had a tough day on the bead as she went thru nearly a box of shells but only managed 2 birds. My buddies 13 yo son shot his first limit and his daughter( her first ever duck hunt) bagged her first bird. I filmed the hunt and hope to have it edited within the next couple of weeks. Great morning full of smiles and laughter. Great way to start the season off. Me and a few buds are going back there this saturday for our general opner and it is gonna get real fugly, real quick
