I am planning to take my motor off the back of the boat and put it back on the shipping pallet that it came on for the winter. I put the motor on the boat at work where I was able to use a forklift...at home I have a hoist.

My question is are the lift rings that are bolted onto the motor strong enough to support the motor, outdrive....everything? Or should I get a couple of friends to help me lift it up and off?
