Hey, I've owned the same motor for 3 years. Change oil , filter before each season, grease once a year. When starting, hold choke out till it cranks and then ease back in . Make sure the nuts on end of shaft don't work loose . Sometimes it will do this. This is a well built motor which should last a long time if you take care of it. I've put mine through some of the toughest conditions and it still runs perfect.
