if you have the mugbuddy gator trax with the padded seat on the gun box you can run the pole down the side between the gunnel and the padding all the way to the transom, you have to move it to get in the gun box though.
I just picked up my new Gator Trax boat Monday and that was the perfect place for the poles. They stayed in place all the way back to Illinois. 658 miles.
