Standard Warranty
For Vanguard, Robin, Honda,
Kohler and Kawasaki engines.
Two Years: The engine manufacturer provides a warranty on the
engine, as stipulated in the manufacture owner’s manual.
Warranty work is completed at the engine manufacturer's approved
warranty centers located across the nation. Our customer
page has a warranty service center locator, which will assist you
in arranging for service in your community area.
Notice: Level 2,
3, 4, 5 and 6 modified engines do not have a Briggs engine
warranty. New level 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 engines purchased from
Mud Buddy have a limited 6 month Mud Buddy engine warranty.
Owner or dealer modified level 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 engines do not
have an engine warranty.
Mud Buddy warrants that the frame and drive is free from defects
in material and workmanship, for a period of
one year from the date of purchase. Warranty does not cover lack
of lubrication, normal wear, collision, abuse or mistreatment.
If a defect occurs during this period, contact your nearest dealer
or Mud Buddy with a dated proof of purchase. You will be directed
where and when to take your equipment for inspection and/or
service. It is the customer’s responsibility to present the
equipment to the repair center for repair. Repair sequence and
completion dates are set by the service center. If frame or drive
parts are required to complete authorized warranty work, Mud Buddy
will ship them via ground UPS at no charge. Expedited shipping is
the responsibility of the customer. If warranty work is denied due
to lack of lubrication, collision, abuse or mistreatment, the
customer may appeal to Mud Buddy for review. We will do everything
reasonable to assist the customer.
Except for the expressed warranty of Mud Buddy set forth above,
Mud Buddy grants no other warranties, expressed or implied, by
statute or otherwise, regarding the Mud Buddy backwater motor, its
fitness for any particular purpose, its quality, its
merchantability, or otherwise. The liability of Mud Buddy under
the warranty set forth above shall be limited to the fair market
value of the product at time of warranty claim. In no event shall
Mud Buddy Manufacturing be liable for any special, consequential,
or other damages for breach of warranty. Mud Buddy has the right
to change the product design at any time without any obligation
under this warranty.
Modified Engines: Mud Buddy HD 45, HD4000 and HD6000 engines. Modified engines do not have a Briggs and Stratton warranty.
Mud Buddy provided a six month warranty on the engine, and a one year warranty on the frame and drive components. The engine (removed from outdrive frame) must be returned to the engine manufacturer in North Carolina for warranty service. Do not take your engine to a Briggs engine warranty service center. Outdrive and frame warranty can be completed by any Mud Buddy authorized warranty service center.

Mud Buddy Performance Exhaust Products
Limited 90 Day Warranty:
The seller warrants the Mud Buddy (BPS) tuned exhaust for a period of 90 days from date of sale. We want you to be happy with your tuned exhaust, but due to the abuse that mufflers can take on mud motors in some environments, we are inclined to provide conditions for repair.
Mud Buddy guarantees that the BPS exhaust system will improve performance. If within one week of receipt, the exhaust does not meet your expectations, return the exhaust system to the place of purchase for a full refund, minus shipping costs. There is no refund for the muffler for any reason beyond this one week period.
During this warranty period, Mud Buddy will repair failures in materials or workmanship. If the product fails, the buyer must present the product for repair to the Mud Buddy, 7956 South, 1530 West, West Jordan, Utah, 84088. Do not return the muffler to your dealer. Shipping expenses to the Mud Buddy facility are the responsibility of the buyer. Mud Buddy will provide return UPS ground shipping. Additional or expedited return shipping to the buyer is the responsibility of the buyer.
Mud Buddy will repair the muffler within two weeks of receipt of the damaged muffler from the customer, or it will provide a stock muffler loaner, upon the request of the customer, as a loaner and for use when a longer repair cycle is required. Shipping of the loaner muffler will be provided by Mud Buddy.
If the exhaust system can not be repaired and is not damaged due to impact, excessive vibration, backfiring, modification to the product or misuse, the failed exhaust parts will be replaced with new components at no cost to the buyer. Customers are still required to provide shipping to Mud Buddy.
This warranty is void due to impact, excessive vibration, backfiring, modification to the product, or misuse.
No other warranty, written or implied is offered. No refunds will be provided for used tuned exhaust mufflers beyond the initial one-week trial period.
