| The tack allows you to see the full throttle engine RPM. This is useful in order to determine if the boat and motor have the correct prop.For example a good motor and prop match will net 3800 to 3900 rpm under load. If your motor runs under 3700 RPM, you could use a smaller prop. If over 4000 perhaps you could use a larger prop, or your prop is worn down. |

Screw it to the front of the motor and wrap the red pickup
lead around the spark plug wire and it shows the RPM when running and hours
when the engine is turned off. |
