I spoke with Glen at Mudbuddy and he seems to think that gearing is
correct for the hull (34). He said that with maybe some load
manipulation and a little "tweeking" I might be able to squeeze
another mph or so out of it, but he felt I was getting acceptable
speeds for the size of hull. Then he told me that if I was
interested in getting something larger that he would "help me out"
since I have struggled to get the right match of hull size to horse
power.
I really appreciate Leaky Wader (Rick) who I should probably reimburse for his cell phone time spent with me and Mud Doctor (Glen) who spent an hour of is time with me yesterday and more this morning, on the phone discussing my situation. I have never had any other experience with the other motors...with the service I have received through this whole ordeal, I don't want to. Maybe other motors are better maybe not. With the service I have received and the little time I have driving the current motor there is no need for me to shop. I am sold on this company by the people that back it. Call it "drinking the Kool Aid" or whatever you want. This is a top notch company who builds, sells and stands behind a fine product, from the very accessible owner straight down to the sales reps. This all coming from a customer...not a sales rep. I hope all of you mud motor owners are as happy with the product and company backing that product as I have been with mine. In the end that is all that matters.

Dear Glenn;
Well I must say that after finally getting to drive a HD Sport a month ago and then ordering a Hyper Balanced Drive to convert my long tail that I am quite impressed with the difference. I have a 17ft 60" bottom and 84" beam all welded Legend Craft decked out from diamond tread floors and sides, gun boxes, battery and fuel boxes, flotation pontoons in the rear, solid 1/4" aluminum bottom, and a solid aluminum transom. I didn't think that I'd find a mud motor that would push this boat as it is quite heavy and had been considering putting an outboard or a jet on it but I figured I'd give ya'll one more shot.

Glen, Clint, Jeanie, and all the Staff:
We received the 35 Hyper that we bought at the Delta Waterfowl Picnic. This weekend we installed it on our Xpress 16 footer and so far it is outrageous. With 3 people the boat does 24.6mph and that was at ¾ throttle. The fastest we registered was 29.9 at ¾ throttle with one person and then I decided to back off and continue testing with better weight distribution. I want to thank you for a great product it is light years ahead of the original Mud Buddy 24 I purchased over three years ago. I want you to know that the main reason I purchased this engine was because of a guy named Manny Sanchez who owns Flats Unlimited Boats. He turned me on and let me test drive his and that sold me. I have no doubt that this engine will only get stronger as it breaks in. The only problem I have is you only send one sticker, I feel like I want to put Mud Buddy stickers on everything I own so that I can get the word out!
Thanks

I turned
the water chestnuts into a salad mix. The 16x52 sea ark could
handle the engine well and the motor pushed me through anything.
I wont forget my partners face when the chestnuts were flying from
behind the boat. Clint, thank you for your guidance and help on
motor selection.
Sincerely, Lenny Goldstock

Glenn,
One word sums it up, "awesome"! Will see if any of the still
photos look good and forward them to you next week. Adam was here
from Powerhouse Promotions (Final Approach TV) and we shot a good
bit of B roll with the HD Sport 35. Do you want it on mini dv tape
or dvd?
Over the past year or so I have heard and read a lot of questions
on chat rooms that ask about the motor in timber and how it does
with logs and beaver dams. Not a doubt in my mind the Sport makes
the long shaft mud motors obsolete. I could not believe how well
it handled the beaver dams and logs.

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for this motor. My wife and I really gave this motor a test, and it does everything that I expected and more- a terrific unit.

Dear Sir,
I recently purchased a HD Sport.
The best way to describe this machine is: "TOTALLY AWESOME".
Mud Buddy has just set a new standard in this industry.
I feel like a kid again in the La. marsh.
My hat off to you.
Great job,
