New Customer Performance Page 3.

Ran approximately 100-110 minutes, started out with a full 6 gallon tank.  Ran the Red River for a round trip of 40 miles and additional 2 miles, ran from 3850-4010.  Ran out of gas on the way, dead dry.  40 miles running flat out, not bad on the consumption.

Finally got to drive a 21HP Hyperdrive yesterday. Now I can say I have stick time behind the 18,21, and 23 Hyperdrives and have driven them with both electric and hydraulic assist tilt and trim.

He is my take on what I have noticed and this info was taken from running these motors on a 1542 War Eagle with floor and front deck.

The 18 will push a boat consistently at 20MPH with one person. With 2 people and a hunting load I could consistently run 17-19MPH depending on water conditions. If you hunt with 3 people this is not the best combo in my opinion. You will start to bog down and not get up on plane near as quick. ONE NOTE!!!!!!:If you hunt in timber a lot I think this might be a great motor for you. Not going to be the fastest but it idles slower than the rest and you can slower ease your way through the timber without needing to pull the prop out at times to slow down.

Alright now the 21. Ran 22MPH consistently with this motor with one person. With 2 people and a hunting load we ran 19-20MPH. Motor has a little more "jump" to get you up on plane than the 18HP.

Now finally the 23HP. Ran 24MPH consistently with this motor wit
h one person and with 2 people and hunting load we consistently ran 20-21MPH. From what I noticed the 23 had a lot more "get up" than the other two. We have not tried it yet but on occasion 3 people might hunt out of this boat and I feel as though the 23 will put it on step no problem.

Now for my last comment. Electric vs Hydraulic. In my opinion these motors are lighter than the big hypers and are much easier to move around and up and down. The electric is nice but now necessary as the hydraulic can be used with plenty of ease. If I bought one today I would buy one with hydraulic b/c it is plenty of easy to use and less electrical to worry about.

If you are sitting back and trying to figure out which of these you want for your boat this might help but for me I am putting a 23HP with hydraulic t/t on mine!!!

NOTE!!!!: We did run the 18HP and the 23HP on a lighter 1546xpress and both motors would run 2-3MPH faster on this boat as compared to the warwagle but I figured that since the express was much lighter.

Please remember this is just a comparison on one boat. I figured most have seen a 1542wareagle and maybe this will help someone trying to make the decision on which motor is best for them.

23 Van Report

It is so awesome it is scary. I took 3 youth hunters
out on opening morning and they couldn't believe where
we went! Frankly I couldn't either. I have the boat
and motor now at a friends who has a 501c3
that teaches kids and adults about the outdoors
through the Texas Parks and Wildlife.

Thanks .

I will be out in it again the week of the 26th.
Peace my brother. I hope you have a Great Christmas!

I have a 35 hyperdrive on an 1850 gatortrax hyper tunnel boat. I am very pleased with the performance of the motor. It has done things i never thought possible in a boat. I am getting speeds around 27-28 mph empty and got 21 mph with 5 big guys, dog, and cooler in the boat. I am impressed.

 Tell glenn Bub said hey.

thanks
