Boat Measuring Tips

We want you to order the correct model HD Sport for your boat.

Measure your transom from the bottom of the boat to the top of the transom.

- If you have a high transom - 20" to 21"  Order the tall transom motor.
- If you have a low transom - 15" to 17"   Order the low transom motor.

Tunnel Boats - See drawing below.
Tunnel (B) height must not be over 4".
If tunnel (A) height is 19-21"  order the tall transom model HD Sport.
If tunnel (A) height is  15" to 17" order the low transom model HD Sport.
If tunnel (A) height is  13" to 14" order the modified model Gator Trax tunnel style HD Sport.

Boats with Pontoons.

See drawing below.  Mark the center of your transom.  The HD Sport drive/propeller is 36 " from the back of the boat.  Take a piece of string that is 36" long and attach it to the boat with a piece of tape at the center line you marked.  Rotate the string to see how far the engine outdrive/prop will turn before hitting the pontoon.  If the turning radius is acceptable to you, you can then order the Sport model for your high or low transom boat. (please specify).
